1. General
These conditions apply to every offer, treatment and transaction between the beauty salon and a client. The beauty salon has declared these conditions applicable as the parties have not expressly deviated from these conditions in writing.

2. Beauty salon efforts
The beauty salon will perform the treatments to the best of its knowledge and ability and under the requirements of good workmanship and based on the state of art known at that time. The beauty salon will inform the client as much as is reasonably possible about the financial consequences of the change or addition of the treatment.

3. Appointments
The client must notify the beauty salon that he cannot make an appointment as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours before the appointment. If the client does not fulfil this obligation or comply in time, the beauty salon may charge the client the entire fee for the agreed treatment. Cancellation of appointments can only be made by telephone. With a treatment/intake with a discount, the reduced price will be charged. Suppose the client arrives in the salon more than five minutes later than the agreed time. In that case, the beauty salon may shorten the lost time on the treatment and still calculate the entire agreed fee. Suppose you arrive at the salon more than fifteen minutes later than the agreed time. In that case, the beauty salon can cancel the appointment and calculate the entire agreed fee.

4. Payment
The beauty salon lists all prices of treatments and products on its website and verbally states the standard prices of the products in the salon to the client. The reported prices include VAT. Offers in advertisements are valid during the indicated term and/or while stocks last. The client must pay the payment for the treatment and any products in cash immediately after the treatment.

5. Personal data & privacy
Before the first treatment, the client provides the beauty salon with all data, which the beautician indicates are necessary or which the client should reasonably understand to be necessary for the careful execution of the treatments. The beauty salon records the client’s personal data in an automated system. The beauty salon handles the client’s confidential data following the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The beauty salon has also drawn up a privacy statement for this purpose. The beauty salon will not sell or rent the client’s data to third parties without the client’s prior written consent.

6. Confidentiality
The beautician is obliged to maintain all confidential information communicated by the client during the treatment. Information is considered confidential if this has been communicated by the client or if this results from the nature of the information. Confidentiality expires if, based on a legal provision or a court decision, the beautician is obliged to provide the confidential information to third parties.

7. Liability
The beauty salon is not liable for damage, of whatever nature, caused by the fact that the beautician relied on incorrect and/or incomplete information provided by the client about relevant physical disorders, medication use, work or leisure activities. The beauty salon is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property that the client has taken to the salon.

8. Warranty
The beauty salon gives the client one week (7 days) warranty on the products. This guarantee lapses if: – the client has used products other than those recommended by the beautician – the client has not followed the advice for home care as described in the advice folder. – the client has not followed the advice to seek medical help within five working days. – the client has not used the products following the instructions for use. If the client is not satisfied with products purchased from the beauty salon, there is no money-back guarantee. Still, these can be exchanged for other products from the beauty salon within a week (7 days).

9. Damage & theft
The beauty salon has the right to claim compensation from the client if the client damages furniture, equipment or products. The beauty salon always reports theft immediately to the police.

10. Complaints
Suppose the client has a complaint about the treatment of a product. In that case, this must be reported in writing to the beauty salon owner and the treating beautician as soon as possible, but within five working days after discovery. The beauty salon must provide the complainant with an adequate answer within five working days. If a complaint is justified, the beauty salon will perform the treatment as agreed, unless this has become demonstrably pointless for the client and the client makes this known in writing. Suppose the beauty salon and the complainant cannot agree. In that case, the complainant can submit the dispute to the legislator or mediator.

11. Proper behaviour
The client should behave appropriately in the salon according to generally accepted standards. Suppose the client continues to show inappropriate behaviour after repeated warnings. In that case, the beauty salon has the right to refuse the client access to the salon, stating reasons.

12. Law
Dutch law applies to every agreement between the beauty salon and the client. In the event of explaining the content and purport of these general terms and conditions, the Dutch text is always decisive. The most recently filed version or the version that applied at the time of the conclusion of the agreement is always applicable.
